Immigration Issues & Permits

The Student Affairs Office ensures that our international students settle down quickly into University life by providing advice, information and facilitating accommodation and immigration registration requirements.

 

REQUIRED IMMIGRATION DOCUMENTS.

As an international student, you will hold a temporary resident status and would be required to have the following documents, and as well be responsible for keeping them valid at all times during your stay in Ghana.

 

  1. Passport

The students’ passport is the most important immigration document. It is the official document issued by the government of one’s country of citizenship that certifies the identity and nationality of its holder, for the purpose of international travel. It is important for students to have a valid passport and should ensure to extend their passport before it expires.

 

  1. Student Resident Permit

To study in Ghana, students should have their Resident Permit from the Ghana Immigration Service. To ensure that international students of KAAF University College have the right immigration documents to enable them have sound mind for their studies, the University College has dedicated officers who are responsible for the application and renewal of Students’ Resident Permits.

The following documents are required from students for the application process:

  1. Valid Passport
  2. Offer letter of an approved course from KAAF University College.
  3. Evidence of Payment of Tuition Fees.
  4. Complete an Application Form, together with two (2) Passport Photographs.
  5. Payment of the prescribed fees for the Non-Citizen Ghana Card and Residence Permit. (This is included in fresh students’ tuition fees).

 

RENEWAL OF PERMITS

Students seeking renewal of their Residence Permits are to provide the following:

  1. Valid Passport
  2. Offer letter of an approved course from KAAF University College.
  3. Evidence of Payment of Tuition Fees.
  4. Complete an Application Form, together with two (2) Passport Photographs.
  5. Payment of the prescribed fees for the Non-Citizen Ghana Card and Residence Permit.
  6. Letter of application from the school.
