The Rector is the academic and administrative head and the Chief Disciplinary Officer of the University College. He is responsible for organizing and conducting the financial and administrative business of the University College and submits an annual statement for the transaction of the University College’s business to the Council through the Academic Board. The Rector advises the Council and Academic Board on all matters affecting policy, finance, government and administration of the University College.
The Rector of the University College is Dr Francis Achampong. He has a PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Ml, MSc degree in Geological Engineering from University of Windsor, Canada and BSc Degree in Geological Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He is a dedicated, responsible, proactive and renowned lecturer and researcher with a myriad of teaching experience from different countries.
He is the President and CEO of Multigeoconsult Limited with cutting edge consulting in Geotechnical, Civil, Geo-Environmental Engineering and a certified Project Engineer for United States Federal Highway Administration/ Michigan Department of Transportation funded projects for the city of Detroit.
He is the chairman of the Board of Ghana Highway Authority.
